Hello, my name is Meghann. Thank you for stopping by! I am a wife to an amazing hard-working man, stay at home and homeschool mother of seven wonderful children ages 4 - 21. When I’m not in the kitchen preparing meals or sitting with a child working on homework, I can be found curled up with my latest book or listening to a podcast. Researching, organizing, knitting, and reading about history are some of my favorite things to do.
The first time I gave birth over 21 years ago, I had no clue about pregnancy and childbirth, except for the terror I had seen in movies. So the moment I realized I was pregnant, I knew I would get an epidural. Nine months later laboring in a hospital, that is exactly what I did. I left a few days later with a precious little girl cradled in my arms thinking I would never give birth again.
Famous last words, right?
Six babies later, I learned pretty quickly that I actually love pregnancy and childbirth! All born at home in the water, I am still surprised and thankful for each and every birth experience (including my first hospital birth). With each birth, I experienced so many different emotions, sensations, and defining moments.
Around baby number three, I decided that someday I would love to help other moms in their sacred moments of pregnancy and birth. At the time I did not know exactly how that would look, but I knew it was something I wanted to prepare for.
Organically, I began to be asked to assist at the births of family and friends. After the first birth, I decided that being a doula was my passion. One birth was all it took to remind me how incredible women are, our strength and ability to dig deep in the face of the unknown and produce these amazing little people.
As a certified labor and birth doula, trained through Doulaversity, I have made my long-time passion my profession. I look forward to meeting and getting to know you and your hopes for an amazing birth! Whatever your situation, I am here to offer support, encouragement, and expertise to help you have the birth your heart desires.

"Strength and Honor are her clothing; she shall rejoice in time to come." Proverbs 31:25
This verse has always spoken to me as I know it has for countless women over the centuries.
Specifically, a woman in her time of birth can rest assured that she has been wonderfully and creatively made strong for this great work.
Whether labor goes just as she has planned or not, she shall rejoice in the capacity of her body, and in the miracle of birth.

"Meghann entered my birthing space with serenity and compassion.
She empowered me to trust my body and the process." - Lois
"Meghann's positive presence was gentle yet strong.
She gave a nervous and out-of-practice husband-coach the discrete guidance he needed to serve his wife. She provided affirming words and touch in just the right places at just the right times" - Sophia
